Discover something amazing with Muck Sticky on his new album
He is the undisputed King of Feeling Good. On August 9th, Muck Sticky and his controversial “inspirational party” attitude return with a brand new album titled The Amazing Discovery. Two years have passed since the release of his last studio creation Muck Sticky Is My Friend. He’s obtained more than 10 million song and video downloads on the Internet, starred in the 2009 MTV series $5 Cover, received numerous accolades for his positive work in the community, and earlier this year released a compilation album of all his ‘PG’ rated songs called For The Kids.
Most people relate Muck Sticky with provocative songs about pot and sex. But the truth is, all of Muck’s albums have an underlying theme intentionally designed to lift people’s spirits when they are feeling down by making them laugh with shocking and silly subject matter. The ninth disc in this witty wordsmith’s repertoire brings us further into the world of this outspoken entertainer by touching on topics from smoking marijuana in public, to encouraging women to leave husbands or boyfriends who are treating them bad. Says Sticky, “Every day is a vacation when we work together”.
The first single Carpe Noctem captures the essence of the Muck Sticky ‘feel-good’ message, and encourages people to make the most of their life. “I wanted to make an album that engaged people in a more commercial fashion. I’ve always been very underground with my sound, now it’s time to be overground” says Muck. “I want everyone everywhere to feel good, so I took the conscious effort on this album to create songs that would reach more people, yet retain the core of what I am all about. It seems silly to keep such a positive message hidden from a larger audience, especially since people seem to be feeling so depressed these days.”
The first line of the opening track Qualia, Muck shouts ‘Y’all thought I was playin? Hell naw, mufugga!”, solidifying the fact that although his songs are sometimes funny, he takes his career seriously. While tracks like FTW = For The Win and Everyday Vacation keep the quirky, sexual nature that Muck is known for, songs like Sex, Drugs & Rock n Roll and Get Naked, surprisingly have a more philosophical approach to the ways of the world. On the track Stellar Connection, Muck states “I’m a constantly changing apparition”, symbolic of both his exploring new styles of music and his growth as an individual.
The Amazing Discovery becomes available 8-9-10. To hear Carpe Noctem and Sex, Drugs & Rock n Roll visit www.mucksticky.com
